Vision:
ChristCare at Concord UMC transforms the lives of individuals by drawing them closer to and becoming more like Jesus.

Mission:

ChristCare serves our church by organizing small groups who:

  • Care for each other
  • Encourage one another in prayer and worship
  • Grow Spiritually
  • Share the good news of Jesus with others

ChristCare Small Groups are gatherings of five – 12 people that meet regularly to focus on four activities:

  • Community Building and Care: Safe, trusting communities where people can support, nurture, encourage and care for one another
  • Biblical Equipping: Group members explore God's Word together and find specific ways to live it out between group meetings
  • Prayer and Worship: Group members grow in their ability to pray and worship God – both individually and as a group.
  • Missional Service: Each ChristCare group shares the blessings God has given them by reaching out to others with Christ's care

Grief & Loss
ChristCare Group

The Grief and Loss ChristCare small group will begin on January 19, 2010. We will start with the Beginnings book to help us get acquainted with ChristCare Program and with one another and our grief and loss experience.

This group is open to anyone who wants to experience the caring of a small group as they work through their loss and grief. The group will be a caring and confidential support group for one another.

Men's Spirit & Body Development Group Every other Fri., 10 am

Starting January 15 with the basic guidelines that Stephen Ministry has set out. The meetings will be every other week.

  • Building Community (getting to know each other)
  • Biblical Equipping (studying the Bible and how it applies to us)
  • Prayer and Worship (a mini service and praying for all our concerns)
  • Missional Outreach (service for others)

Chronic Health Problems

  This ChristCare small group supports persons who have chronic health problems such as diabetes or heart disease.
   
Young Adult ChristCare Group Sun., Noon
Room to be determined		 Leader: April Ochoa
  This group focuses on how to be a Christian in a non-Christian world.
   
Remaining Faithful in a Secular World Sun., 3 pm
Susannah Wesley Rm.		 Leaders: Micheal Pope, Betsy McLeod
 

This group will help us all to rely on our faith when dealing with the challenges of day-to-day life. We discuss a variety of social concerns and how our faith can get us through the conflicts of life.
