The Concord United Methodist Church is a part of a Combined Youth Ministry with the Walnut Creek United Methodist Church.

We are always having a great time together! From hiking trips to sleepovers, from mission trips to movie nights, we are dedicated to following the teachings of Jesus Christ and living out our call to radical hospitality, passionate worship, risk-taking mission and service, intentional faith development, and extravagant generosity.

Join us at our weekly gatherings and at our bi-monthly special events! They change each month, but our spirit is the same!

Christian Fusion News

Church Field Trip
The Sunday after the Spaghetti Dinner, there will be no Youth Sunday School at the Concord or the Walnut Creek UMC's. There will also be no youth people at the Concord or Walnut Creek UMC's. That's because we'll all be at the St. Mary and St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church on Clayton Road! This is a rare chance to see how other members of our church family worship, pray, and live with God! The priest of the church has even offered to prepare lunch for us and answer any questions we have about Orthodox Christianity, theology, or anything else we might want to know about!

The church is located at 3500 Clayton Road in Concord. We're meeting at 9:30am in front of the church, and the service (mass) begins at 10:00am, and goes until noon, and then we have lunch! Father Hanna has told me that there's no official dress code, but dress conservatively just in case.

Obviously, I hope you're all able to attend, as it's right around the corner from the Concord UMC and a very short drive from the Walnut Creek UMC, but I need you to RSVP for this, because otherwise they won't know how much food to make. See you Sunday!

Young Adult

The young adults group meets at Denny's near the Diablo Valley College Campus every Wednesday evening from 8:00 until 9:00, and is open to anyone 18 to 30 years old. We build our community through prayer and Biblical equipping, but also through candid discussions of the difficult issues surrounding living out one’s Christian faith in a secular society.
